Additional Pointbase debugging

Problem

If requested by Experian Payments Support, you may need to switch on additional PointBase debugging.

Resolution

To switch on debugging
  1. Edit Pointbase.ini.
    This is located in the Experian Payments Gateway Server installation directory.
  2. Add the following lines:
    debug.log=true
    debug.logLevel=2
  3. Restart the Experian Payments Gateway Service for the change to become active.
 

Additional information

When you switch on PointBase debugging, the log, epg_debug.log, is created in the Database directory within the Experian Payments Gateway Server installation folder.

There are 3 levels of logging; 1, 2 and 3 (with 3 being the most verbose).
