Error "Cannot import file. It contains too many records" when importing originator details

Cause

By default, Experian Payments Gateway will not import originator details if the file contains more than 250 records. If you try to import a larger file, you will get the error:  Cannot import file. It contains too many records. Please split the file.  

Resolution

If you cannot split the file, you can increase the record limit.

To increase the file limit:

1. Open the systemDefaults.properties file.
   This is in the properties directory within the Experian Payments Gateway Server installation directory.
2. Enter or update the line:
   BulkSUNImportRecordLimit = 250
   For example, if your file contains 1000 records, set this to 1000.
3. Save the edited properties file.
4. Restart Experian Payments Gateway Server.
