PBS implements new Sepa solution

Nordic payment provider PBS will be implementing a new Sepa solution which banks across Europe will be able to use, it has been reported.

The organisation solution will combine Sepa Direct Debit and Sepa Credit Transfer, according to bobsguide.com.

PBS will be using payment solution technology provider Clear2Pay to launch the new technology which will be used by corporate initiators and debtor and creditor banks across Europe.

Mark Hartley, vice-president of Strategy and Marketing at Clear2Pay, told the news provider: "With this solution PBS can offer their clients an end-to-end solution embracing all necessary features such as mandate management, R-transactions etc."

He added that the company was exploring "strategic enterprise-wide capabilities so that they can easily extend this solution to also embrace Sepa Credit Transfers".

Earlier this week, a study revealed that almost 50 per cent of European banks believe it will take more than five years to recover losses related to Sepa.
