Experian Payments recently exhibited at SIBOS 2008, the world’s largest banking and payments conference, held this year in Vienna. Attracting over 7000 delegates from over 130 countries, Sibos provided the perfect setting for the launch of Experian Payments Global Gateway, a new product from Experian Payments that provides organisations with a single gateway to the SWIFT messaging service; helping control costs, reduce risk and improve efficiency for corporates.
Over five busy days, visitors to the Experian Payments stand learnt about how our global payments software and services can help banks solve a range of payments problems for their corporates, including:
- Converting BBANs to IBANs
- Validating BICs
- Improving STP
- Automating collection and submission of payments and bank data
Two new publications
Also at Sibos, we published two new free publications. The first, a guide which highlights treasury and payments issues and shows corporates how to build a SWIFT business case to ensure they are able to enjoy the benefits of SWIFT cost effectively.

The second, a white paper that considers the problems for corporates and banks created by historical corporate electronic banking and proposes a new model examining why it might be in the banks’ best interest to invest in Electronic Full-Service Banking.
